May 31, 5–7 PM CET
This workshop will be an encounter in which we will explore new ways to heal the manifestations that power discourses have over our bodies through some artistic, narrative and sound proposals.
If you are interested in hybrid creative artistic processes and their connection with public spaces, this workshop may be of interest to you.
The event takes place at Improper Walls, and the artist will join us online via Zoom.
Lia García (La Novia Sirena) was born in Mexico City, where she currently lives. She is a feminist apprentice, pedagogue, and performance artist. Her artistic projects have focused on weaving effective bridges between her own trans* experience and Mexico's social context. She has performed by occupying public space in multiple routes and wanderings.
This event is part of the Outskirts of Care public program, an exhibition by Frida Robles and Nisrine Boukhari currently on view until June 1.
Supported by 15. Bezirk, MA7 and BMKOES.
