the in-taxonomizables: a lecture performance about indisciplined matter
lecture performance by daniela brill estrada
in the performance/lecture the in-taxonomizables, daniela shares her own personal journey of rebellion against any fixed form or taxonomy, drawing on the absurdity of gendered hierarchies, the violence inherent in social, colonial, and scientific classifications, and the deep wisdom of in-taxonomizable creatures like sharks, rocks, and salt dykes. daniela questions the stability humans cling to, framing herself as a trajectory of information in constant transformation, celebrating the fractal, the contradictory, the in-disciplined, the distracted, the weird.
