ABOUT THE LECTURE
We all have been influenced by "isms" throughout our lives. Consequently, another person´s behavior might trigger a negative feeling or response in us reflecting on learned patterns of stereotypical thinking. At the same time, most people have at some time in their lives experienced some form of oppression or have been a member of an "outsider group ". Therefore each of us has the ability to understand the experience of being an "other".
We have a way to "unlearn" prejudice instead of keeping the bias system intact through the denial of stereotypical thinking, speaking and acting.
Interactive activities and discussions will support and motivate our process of deconstructing our prejudices.
