Room of Entities is a collective dream space where sounds, objects, performers and audience coexist in a timeless atmosphere. ROE invites you to enter an immersive sphere of sensation and rest.
Room of Entities is a collaborative work by artists Eva Sommer, Nora Aaron Scherer and Moritz Nahold within the structures of „ZAK - zentrum für antidisziplinäre kunst“. An association founded in spring 2020 to enable work in an accessible and collaborative framework. ZAK counteracts the separation of popular, sub- and high culture, motivates the emancipation of habitual practices, aesthetics and formats.
About artists:
Moritz Nahold (* 1992) is a sound artist and composer based in Vienna. In his work he explores the facets of various sonic artifacts, channeling the space between abstract composition and pop signifiers. In addition to releases on Ventil Records, Parken and Denovali, his previous efforts include works for performance, theater and installation.
Nora Aaron Scherer (* 1993) is a social worker, body worker and artist living in Vienna. Aaron's current practice includes performance, video, sculpture, and installation. Starting from questions about social dynamics, they create ambiguous works that alienate the body and examine identity as a fluid tool beyond fixed representation.
Eva Sommer (*1992) from Graz. Since 2020 she has developed the project ZAK - zentrum für antidisziplinäre kunst to realize installative, performative, and/or filmic works in diverse collaborations and contexts. In her work she appropriates tools from many different media and practices like fine arts, theater, dance, sound and film.
