Memorial Assembly for Davyd Chychkan
Organized in collaboration with Asia Bazdyreva, Kateryna Lysovenko and Kriegsbilder collective
6-8 PM
Organized by a group of friends, the Memorial Assembly is dedicated to the legacy of Davyd Chychkan (1986-2025), an anarchist and artist, who was killed at the frontline in the defense against russian imperialist war. Davyd was involved in many social struggles, was an artist whose art transgressed contradictions between the street and museum, agitation and autonomy. Conceived as a space of collective reflection, the assembly will feature video, sound, and text contributions that open a space for loss and pain, as well as for forms of emancipation — where mourning does not replace politics, but intertwines with it.
The Assembly will include screening of the recent film Davyd Chychkan: The Art of Defiance (2026) by Spilne, several speeches and remarks, memories and everything one want to share, ending up with the collective listening of the selected tracks from Drones for Drones (Vol.4, 2026) compilation. Inspired by Davyd’s politics and ethics – EVERYTHING TO EVERYONE, HERE AND NOW t-shirts – screenprinted by Berin-based friends will be available for solidarity prize at the event.
The exhibition is organised in cooperation with tranzit.at with the support of ERSTE Stiftung.
