Spot the Dot & Ash Santos present the second Vienna edition of Rebel Against Skincancer. A group exhibition & party to raise awareness of skin cancer.

Last year we started the campaign “Rebel against Skincancer” in which we used art & music to start a conversation about the importance of prevention and detection of skin cancer. This year we felt the need for more rebellion and we asked 20 artists to get inspired by the rebellious theme OUT OF THE SUN AND INTO THE DARK. This is a story about a girl who is so sick of everyone complaining about how annoying sunscreen is and how it slows down their beloved tan. As a statement she starts to wear corpsepaint on her face as an alternative to sunscreen. This is her way of telling the world "I don´t want to die for my tan!". Can this rebel girl teach us something about how we should take care of our precious skin? 

What is a better thing to do with your Saturday evening than to be drinking & enjoying art for the sake of charity?!

WHY SKIN CANCER AWARENESS?
Each year millions of people globally are diagnosed with skin cancer. It is in the top 3 of most common cancer types amongst young people. That means you should keep a close eye on your skin (and the skin of people around you). Remember, when prevention of skin cancer fails it is still highly treatable if detected early. Spot the Dot Foundation and Ash Santos joined forces on creating this non-profit campaign. Ash Santos is located in Vigo, Spain and works in several fields of creation. He is the co-founder of Swamps & Santos Studio, former leader of Die Fritzels and the frontman of the Galician punk rock band Cruceiro. Ash & Steph Swamps are Swamps & Santos Studio.
